Two years at the University of Illinois taught me that I really missed the big city so a transfer to GW University was in order. After graduating, I worked 4 years as an English teacher at Woodson HS in Fairfax. I then spent 3 years in Paris, France with my first husband. Upon return, I joined IBM; married a colleague; and spent 30 years and 1 day as an IBMer. All of my 30 years were spent in the Washington area. Sadly, I lost my husband in 2005 to cancer. I retired in February, 2008 and am enjoying every minute of retirement.

As a life long animal lover, I am busy raising Arabian horses on my 30 acre farm in Lovettsville. I also enjoy frequent trips to Paris to visit my daughter who is doing graduate work in genetics at the Marie Curie Institute.
